CO-OP

Counseling Opportunity Ownership Problem-Solving

CO-OP classes, facilitated by licensed counselors, are designed to reduce violent behaviors by helping our youth learn to deal with anger, fear and pain in positive and constructive ways.  At-risk youth who have demonstrated or encountered problems with managing their anger, have been involved with bullying, either as the bully or the victim, and young people who have suffered an emotional trauma, or have problems coping with life’s challenging times can participate. The classes meet on every other Wednesday, and a fee of $100 is required of all participants. Participants with demonstrated need can receive a scholarship to cover this cost with the permission of Teen Court staff.
